BBC Radio 1’s Academy – Glasgow May 2014

 

 

The biggest stars from the music and entertainment world including; Emeli Sandé, Rita Ora and Sir Richard Branson will be at BBC Radio 1’s Academy in Glasgow between the 10th and 16th of May to encourage and inspire young people to take on their futures.

The Academy will offer over 7,000 free spaces aimed at 16-19 year olds across Glasgow and beyond to attend a programme of practical workshops, Q&A sessions, industry master classes and live music gigs and will open its doors in the lead up to the station’s flagship live music event, Radio 1’s Big Weekend 2014.

 

A host of leading names and special guests from the music and entertainment world, as well as industry professionals and successful individuals will be getting involved in the Academy.

 

There will be a vast number of Q&As, practical workshops and industry masterclasses taking place at the Academy over the week.

 

Tickets for Radio 1’s Academy are free of charge and available from Monday 5th May when the full programme timetable is announced.
