Free training with the Autism Resource Centre

The AUTISM RESOURCE CENTRE is offering new training seminars for parents and carers of children and young people with an ASD. The intended age range of the young people is over 8 years of age to late teens. Our trainer for these events is Barrie Cooper and the courses on offer are free, but must be booked via the ARC.

From our previous programme of Parent/Carer Training, FAMILY AUTISM SUPPORT, families asked us for training around some specific issues in which they would like guidance. This short additional programme in March has been designed to help families to address the issues that face them and their children.

There are 2 dates for the course; RECOGNISING & MANAGING EMOTIONS & ANGER in children with an ASD
These are:

(1) Thursday 21st March at Touchbase, Kinning Park
(2) Thursday 28th March at The Autism Resource Centre, Bridgeton

The other course, GIRLS & AUTISM is on:
(3) Friday 22nd March at Touchbase, Kinning Park

The times for all 3 courses are 9.30am - 2.30pm
Refreshments and lunches will be included.

Please feel free to circulate this information to parents & carers of young people with an ASD who live in Glasgow. If anyone is interested, please apply to Laura Hutchinson at the Autism Resource Centre, Bridgeton Tel: 0141 276 7182 or laura.hutchinson@sw.glasgow.gov.uk<mailto:laura.hutchinson@sw.glasgow.gov.uk> stating which training they are interested in (1,2 or 3). The free places will be allocated on a "first come" basis and each applicant will be notified if successful with confirmation details of venues etc.
