The City of Glasgow College would like to invite you to peruse through our ‘Women into Engineering’ HNC course description, and to share it with any aspiring female mechanical engineers who may be looking for a course in which students are given the support they need in order to enter into the engineering sector.   It is a women only class, and is a 1-year course, commencing September 5th, 2016.  We would encourage any interested applicants to apply as soon as possible in order to secure a place on this fantastic course.

Please find information on Modern Apprenticeship opportunities for laboratory science level 3 with Glasgow Scientific Services, part of Land and Environmental Services (LES). These have been ring fenced for Glasgow Schools only.  All previous MAs have secured full time employment at the end of the apprenticeship.

Entrance requirements are a minimum of 2 Highers, and 6 national 4/5s  (Maths, English and Science subjects desirable).  Day release is at Forth Valley College in Falkirk, and LES will provide a vehicle if required to get to the college.

ScottishPower's Engineering Foundation Programme - Open for Applications!

Scottish Power are looking to recruit 28 young people between the ages of 16 – 19 to study at college either in the Midlothian or Glasgow areas with a September 2016 start.  Successful students will:
·         Gain a NC Level 2 qualification in Electrical Engineering
·         Receive 4 weeks of employer-led technical training at our training centre in Cumbernauld
·         Get paid £200 a month in sponsorship

Mobile Apprentice Refrigeration Engineer
