During fourth year students become involved in the process of choosing the courses
The school’s Pastoral Care staff advises and assist students in reaching their decisions. Factors such as past performance (i.e. Nation 4/ 5 results and prelim results), potential in subject areas, careers aspirations and individual special interests are noted and considered. In the fifth year we would recommend that your son/daughter considers what might be the five best possible results at National 4/5 and attempts to further their knowledge in these areas.
Your son/daughter will receive recommended Course Choices, which will support your son/daughter in discussing the options. This is the professional advice of the school and which we would ask you to consider and approve by signing where you are in agreement. Where there are problems, your son/daughter’s Pastoral Care teacher will be happy to discuss possible solutions.
